Enhancing the diesel generator enclosure maintenance access! For standard units, the fuel water separators are usually positioned inside the enclosure set. In this machine, the fuel water separator section is strategically modified to a swing-out door, where the fuel water separators are mounted conveniently behind the door, just below the motor fan.
This door allows technicians to conveniently access the fuel water separators for quick inspection and draining without opening the main doors and entering inside. Moreover, the swing-out door opens at an angle of up to 90 degrees, maximising the available workspace width inside the enclosure up to three times wider for maintenance tasks.
For a Cummins KTA50-G3 generator set, for example, the fuel water separator set weighs exceed 20kg when fully fueled. Through detailed calculations ensuring sufficient load safety, we purposely screwed fittings and support frames inside the swing door to provide the maximum weight-bearing capacity. Furthermore, considering the swing-out door design, we added high-pressure hydraulic flow control valves to connect hydraulic hoses between the fuel water separator and the engine. This ensures that the hydraulic hoses remain rigid and flexible without any distortion, even with constant opening and closing of the swing door.
This unique swing-out door arrangement helps maximise operational uptime by streamlining essential maintenance tasks. Whether you need a standard enclosure or a fully customised unit, our dedicated team is always ready to assist you in finding the perfect solution for your power generation needs!
