For the base fuel tank design of a diesel generator, we have to calculate the client’s fuel consumption practice to determine the capacity of a fuel tank. The sizes of the fuel tank vary with the fuel capacity. For instance, the base fuel tank of a KTA50 with 1500 Litres can run an estimated 5 hours. This time, as requested, the fuel tank volume is 1000 litres.
Usually, we deliver our diesel generator sets in standard 20ft containers (internal dimensions 5.9m x 2.35 x 2.39m) or 40ft containers (internal dimensions 12.03 x 2.35 x 2.39m). When assembling the diesel generator, we have to consider the sizes of the final products that fit the exact internal dimensions and volume of a standard shipping container. Our base fuel tank, therefore, is designed in consideration of size limitations and fuel tank capacity.
